Under the hood of the 2018 Porsche Macan S is a 3.0L turbocharged V6 engine good for 340 horsepower and 339 pounds of torque. Standard features include an AWD and a seven speed automated manual transmission system.
During our test drive, the base S trim was able to zip to 60 mph in just 5.6 seconds. Which is impressive considering the average for its class clock at upwards of 6.5 seconds.
Stepping up the game to another level is the 2018 Porsche Macan Turbo which features a 3.6L V6 engine under its hood. Its output stands at 400 horsepower and 406 pounds of torque. Also, it comes with a standard all-wheel-drive and a seven-speed transmission system. Its acceleration to 60 mph is in 4.4 seconds.
EPA ratings for the two engines stand at 17/23/19 mpg in the city/highway/combined.
