2018 Infiniti Q50 Review, Ratings

Some of the highlights that will motivate the 2018 Infiniti Q50 is the excellent fuel economy ratings, roomy trunk, nicely detailed interior, high-tech electronic and safety features, superb fuel economy ratings for the hybrid trim, and a robust V6 engine. Its release date should be expected sometime next year.

In overall, the Q50 for 2018 will return mostly unchanged. The vehicle comes with a tale of two cars: the Q50S and the Q50S Hybrid. The former comes with a 3.7L V6 fitted under its hood and earned a good reputation for its athleticism and everyday good manners, however, the Q50S Hybrid scored poorly in terms of the fuel economy ratings especially considering it’s a hybrid.

Both of the two models are set to come with a well-appointed interior that will host plenty of organic styling and high-tech options that distinguishes it from the rest of the crowd. The vehicles however differ in terms of the driving dynamics. The Hybrid, which received a poor rating due to its EPA ratings, also scores dismally in terms of inconsistent braking and acceleration.

With such cons, therefore, the Q50 becomes our endearment and the hybrid buyers should take caution. The Direct Adaptive Steering, in particular, which comes bundled together with the Deluxe Touring package is one of the chief reasons why the vehicle comes with unreliable braking and acceleration. Other alternatives to consider include the Acura TLX, 2017 Audi A4, and Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
