2018 GMC Terrain SUV

If a comfortable, quiet, and a powerful V6 engine is what you are looking for, the new and invigorated 2018 GMC Terrain should rank atop your shopping list. Some of the sweeteners for the 2018 year model include a quiet interior, a robust V6 engine, adjustable and spacious backseat, and a comfortable highway ride. Its release date should be expected sometime later this year.

Some of the novelties to expect from the updated 2018 GMC Terrain include a blind-spot monitor with rear cross monitor, a storage area, unique front and rear styling, lane departure warning systems, a tweaked suspension system, and LED daytime running lights.

The 2018 Terrain will undoubtedly mark its 7th year of production ever since its debuted into the mid-size crossover segment. During this time, the segment has seen an unprecedented increase of the number of brands that have ventured into segment. And in trying to keep up with the growing rivalry and modern evolution, GMC has not disappointed with its constant updates on the Terrain.

The 2018 GMC Terrain still has some appealing credits, to GMC’s credit. On the flipside, the 182 hp motor looks good in its segment, however, the engine seems greatly underpowered and slow to respond in real-life situations. And in an attempt to coax more power and oomph from the engine, often results in one driving the pedal to the metal beneath. Naturally, this negates the four-cylinder’s advantage over the V6 due to the uninspiring fuel economy ratings as per the EPA ratings.

Therefore, some alternatives may be worth your time. They include Ford Escape, Jeep Cherokee, and Mazda CX-5.
