For 2018, expect the invigorated Ford Expedition to come with several highlights including interior flexibility, spacious third row seat, easy-to-fold rear seats, and an agile and fuel efficient engine. Its release date should be expected before this fall.
Most of the time, buyers only require a vehicle that is capable of just towing a trailer or hauling people around. This is what the Expedition does best. The vehicle comes with copious amounts of interior space to accommodate up to eight people within three rows of seats. For its size, Ford also equipped the vehicle with a robust engine able to provide 365 hp from a turbocharged V6. Other add-ons include loads of seating flexibility and an adjustable suspension tuning that have nicely been combined to offer better handling and convenience.
The vehicle is popular for its ability to handle just about anything. When properly equipped, expect the vehicle to have a maximum towing capacity of 9,200 pounds. Additionally, the vehicle achieves a cargo space of about 108 cubic feet when the rear seats have been folded away.
Also for 2018, the vehicle now comes with more entertainment features in comparison to the model it is replacing. Ford has brought in the new Sync 3 infotainment system to replacing the aging and outdated MyFord Touch system.
On the flipside, though, the vehicle isn’t that convenient when maneuvering in tight spaces due to its massive size. Our recommendation is to get a fuel efficient and easier to handle vehicle that a big SUV like the Expedition. Other alternatives to consider include Chevrolet Suburban and Chevrolet Tahoe for 2018.
